10 Lessons to Make You Better | Arangio

Wisdom it's not just about knowing stuff; it's about having the smarts to navigate life's twists and turns.

It's like a GPS for your soul, guiding you through the chaos with a cool head and savvy choices.

It's more than just brainpower; it's about understanding people, showing empathy, and making decisions that actually make sense.

Wisdom keeps you from going off the deep end, helps you chill out and think long-term. It's the secret sauce for dealing with setbacks and rolling with the punches.

A bit of wisdom goes a long way, keeping you grounded and making your journey way more interesting.

I want to share some invaluable life lessons that have shaped my journey and, I believe, could profoundly impact yours.

10 Lessons to Make You Better

As you gather around the warmth of the fireplace, sipping on a cup of hot tea, take a moment to reflect on these nuggets of wisdom that transcend the conventional and delve into the essence of a happy and fulfilling life.

Let these principles guide you today and in the future.

1. A college education has a lot of merit

I completed both my undergraduate and graduate degrees as well as my share of additional courses.

And with all of this education I only had a few truly outstanding professors, and one of them really stood out.

He told me that you can become successful by doing anything, as long as you’re willing to be better than everyone else at it. I agree 100%.

Most folks are unwilling to do what it takes to become the best version of themselves, but that's not you.

2. If you want a life that only a select few have, you've got to be willing to do what few are willing to do

Are you yearning for a life that stands apart from the ordinary? The path to an extraordinary existence demands a willingness to tread where few dare.

Success is not handed out; it is earned through perseverance, hard work, and a readiness to embrace challenges that others avoid.

So, if you seek a life uncommon, be weird. Be prepared to do what few are willing to do.

3. “I’ll try” really means “I’m not really committed and this probably won't happen.”

"I’ll try" is often a euphemism for uncertainty and lack of commitment. Recognize it for what it is – a hesitant step, often leading nowhere.

True success requires unequivocal commitment, action, and consistency. Don't just try; decide and commit to the journey you're embarking on.

4. Be the best you, not an imitation of someone else

In the pursuit of greatness, authenticity reigns supreme. It's tempting to copy somebody else, but true fulfillment comes from being the best version of yourself.

Embrace your uniqueness, strengths, and quirks. The world doesn't need another imitation; it craves the genuine you.

5. Associate with like-minded, successful people

It's often said that you're the average of the five people you associate with the most. I don't know if five is the magic number but the concept is spot on, so don’t hang out with slackers or negative naysayers.

The company you keep has a profound impact on your journey. For example, if you want to slow the natural aging process hang out with others that make age management a priority.

Choose your companions wisely. Surround yourself with like-minded, driven individuals who uplift and inspire.

Avoid the gravitational pull of negativity and mediocrity.

6. Model other people’s success

Learn from people that have enjoyed successes similar to the ones you want. Model what they've done to get where they are.

Learning from others is a shortcut to success. Identify those who have walked the path you aspire to and model their strategies.

Success leaves clues; it's up to you to decipher them and adapt them to your own journey. A mentor, a role model – these are invaluable guides on your quest for success.

7. Not all education occurs in a classroom

Some very successful folks have what's known as "street smarts" or practical education. Practical knowledge is stuff like reading this daily email lesson, attending events, getting coaching, etc.

And some successful folks have a bunch of formal education, like college. Well, there is a much stronger correlation between your practical education and success, than there is a relationship between your formal education and your success.

I'm not saying to skip the formal university education; however, just know that that there is massive value in something as simple as reading this daily email lesson and then taking imperfect action on what you have learned. In other words, you are willing to do the work.

8. Never stop learning

In every coaching session, I've observed a common trait among the most successful individuals – an insatiable hunger for knowledge. This is not an accident.

They ask questions, take notes, and perpetually seek to expand their understanding. Make curiosity a constant companion on your journey. Never stop learning, and you'll never stop growing.

9. Invest in yourself if you want to grow

Consider yourself the most valuable asset in your portfolio.Investing in you is better than any stock you can buy.

Investing in personal development, coaching, and self-improvement is a strategic move that yields exponential returns. The most successful people understand the significance of continually investing in themselves.

10. Your health is an investment, not an expense

Shifting your perspective on health independence is paramount. It's an investment, not an expense.

Just like investing in a professional coach, prioritizing your health yields returns beyond measure. A healthier, more vibrant you can expect to reap rewards far exceeding the initial investment.

If you invest in a professional coach, and take action on what you learn, you can fully expect to increase your healthspan and make 10X, 20X… maybe even 30 or 40X that back in return.

Okay, that’s enough for now.

Give your family hugs from me.

To your success,

Coach Joe
